Do you want to learn IoT?
The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to internet which is connected to objects that are able to collect and transfer data over a wireless network without human interference.
During the last few years, Internet of Things (IoT) devices have started becoming a more and more important component in our day-to-day life. One of the most important applications for IoT devices are Smart Home. Also, there are some more examples are there.
- Wearables (eg. smart-watches)
- Autonomous vehicles
- Smart cities
- Smart Retail
One of the most interesting things about IoT devices is that they are able to produce large amounts of data. This can be particularly used in applications such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which are in trending now.
Most IoT devices can produce a great variety of data which is of huge interest in Artificial Intelligence.

So, How do IoT devices work?
There are 4 main components required for IoT devices that are:
- Sensors: Sensors play an important role in these IoT devices. It enables the devices to collect data from the environment surrounding the device.
- Connectivity: It successively sends the data through the cloud (through either WiFi or Bluetooth connection).
- Data Processing: Once the data is received by the cloud infrastructure then it can be processed.
- User Interface: Once the data is processed, the output/results are then given to the and user.
Know Benefit of IoT Technology for Smart Homes in easy steps.
Let us see one of the example of IoT.
- The home can be called smart when it consists of smart devices that you can control remotely by setting them the way you like to automatize house maintenance.
- They can also be work into one network. For example, the lights can turn on at the moment you enter the home and it can be done using sensors. Also, you want your vacuum cleaner can start cleaning every day at a particular time. But the true work starts when IoT (Internet of Things) joins this team.
- It provides all the devices with internet access. For instance, now you have all the control over what happens in your house watching security cameras through your smartphone or computer. IoT applications allow you to connect devices to each other and letting them communicate without your participation.
- Imagine the moment your car leaves the parking near the office, the conditioner starts cooling your house so that after a hot day you could enter a pleasantly cool home. This can possible with the IoT.
